Benjamin Smith

Benjamin Smith is the owner of Flickline Disc Golf and one of the co-founders of the Maritime Disc Golf Association.  Since 2018, he has been one of the TDs for Canada’s largest disc golf event, the Canadian National Championships.

Benjamin has been an avid disc golfer since 2003 and a course designer since 2007.  In the last decade, he has designed and installed 40 permanent courses, mostly in Atlantic Canada, and has developed a disc golf lesson plan that he has taught to over 18,000 students.

Future plans include perfecting his private 19 hole disc golf course, TD’ing the World Championships, and continuing to make disc golf an accessible option for people of all kinds.  Currently, he is part of a group of Canadians who are in the process of having disc golf become recognized as a National Sporting Organization in Canada.  In the rare times that he is not disc golfing or talking about disc golf, you can find him wandering the beaches of northern Nova Scotia with his wife, 2 children, and ever-growing pack of dogs.
